Frequently Asked Questions
Product
CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most widespread of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). CBD functions by binding to cannabinoid receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system. These receptors have been widely found in many parts of the human body, including the central nervous system and the intestinal tract.
CBD is completely legal to purchase and use in the UK as long as it contains under 0.2% THC and was produced by approved industrial hemp per the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Though CBD is generally considered safe, it may cause adverse reactions in some people with side effects such as: dry mouth, diarrhoea, reduced appetite, drowsiness and fatigue. CBD can also interact with other medications. If you experience any side effects from CBD, report these to your doctor immediately.
NO! CBD has no psychoactive properties. It will not get you high, because it does not contain THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the chemical in cannabis that makes you high.
According to a report from the World Health Organization, "In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD."
Everyone’s tolerance for CBD is different. If you are a new user we always suggest starting with the lowest dose and working your way up. Starting with a dose that is too high could potentially have the opposite results to the desired effect.
